Membership of the Australian Tile Council gives you access to industry resources. Benefits are numerous and represent all sectors of the ceramic tile industry.

For the Tile Fixer

  1. Access to updated information regarding tiles, adhesives, substrates, substrate enhancing materials, waterproofing, grouts and changes and updates of Australian Standards.
  2. Use of the ATC logo on vehicles, stationary etc.
  3. Provision of user friendly quotations and receipt books incorporating the ATC logo.
  4. Recognition of competence by the end user.
  5. Improved employment prospects.
  6. Availability of Tiles Today copies and other relevant literature.
  7. Identification and access to training facilities to improve or add to existing skills.
  8. Possibility of a type of business referral system.
  9. Availability of business training subjects where requested.

For the end user and the industry

  1. Members are bound by our Code of Ethics ensuring you receive specialist advice and quality products at a reasonable price.
  2. The ATC raises the quality of workmanship and knowledge within our industry.
  3. Thorough ongoing training we assist our tile fixers to gain greater competency and further skill refinement, to service the needs of our customers.
  4. The ATC operates Certificates Sales Training Courses to ensure you receive the best available advice for your project.
  5. We liaise with builder groups, allied trade professionals and individuals to ensure a safe working environment.
  6. Our projects include identification of training needs to improve or add to existing skills.
  7. Our Members offer quality products and services complete with project and fixing guarantees.
  8. The ATC is currently embarking on a major project focussing on increasing the qualified ceramic tile fixers workforce. This project will offer our youth a quality trade which is challenging, creative and financially rewarding. Apprentices undertaking this project will be offered an exciting career and the level of skill and expertise they attain will ensure professional results, leading to greater customer satisfaction.
  9. The ATC offers conflict mediation to assist in solving issues which may arise.
  10. Membership of the ATC would require a Tile Fixer to “sign an agreement to fix tiles according to Australian Standards”.
  11. The use of the ATC logo on vehicles and stationery identifies the tile fixer for the end user as a fixer with recognized skills, competence and qualification.
  12. ATC tile fixer members will have access to manufacturers groups to enable an understanding of current and new products.
  13. End users obtain well presented quotations.
  14. Tile suppliers able to provide list of Tile Fixers qualified to use the ATC logo.
  15. A reduction of “cowboys” within the industry.
