Objectives

  1. To promote the use of ceramic tiles and to further the interests of those engaged in the industry and those associated with the use of ceramic tiles.
  2. To act in Council with or affiliate with other Councils or organisations having the same or similar objects as the council.
  3. If considered desirable in the interests of the industry, apply for and become registered as an industrial organisation of employers under the Australian Law and to represent members and the industry generally in industrial matters.
  4. To promote or oppose as the case may be, legislative measures affecting the industry and to represent members of the Council in relation to such proposed legislation.
  5. To undertake the settlement by arbitration under the laws of the Commonwealth of any disputes arising in connection with the industry or of the business of any of the members of the Council.
  6. To conduct such publicity campaigns by any means as may from time to time be deemed necessary.
  7. In furtherance of the objects of the Council to print publish and issue and circulate books, papers, circulars and other literary productions.
  8. To approach Government ministers of the Crown and government departments and any other bodies or persons and to negotiate with them for the general welfare of the Council.
  9. Generally to take such steps and do such things in furtherance of the objects of the Council which members may seem appropriate for the promotion of the interest of the members.
